Tata Shipping is an international training organization for small boats
It has been possible to take an international inland small boat exam for several decades. This means that with the small boat license obtained in Tata, you are allowed to sail on any inland water in the world. It could be Lake Balaton, Danube, Lake Constance or even the Nile, the Dutch canals or the North American great lakes.
The inland small boat license for recreational purposes is valid for all small boats with a registration number, a maximum length of 20 meters and a capacity of 12 people. Only students with a registered address in Hungary can take the exam. Both the exam and the education take place on the Old Lake. The training is accredited and licensed on the Öreg-Tavon, and in the Komárom-Esztergom County, it can only be done here, on the Öreg-Tavon. The location of the theoretical training is the Újkajakház. The practical training takes place at one of the ports on the lake at a pre-arranged time. Our boats are around 6m long and can accommodate a maximum of 5 people.

Sailing tours: the Association organizes sailing tours for its members during the summer. 2-3 day tours on Lake Balaton and sea tours every few years. We also provide instruction in the basics of sailing theory for beginners, and they can also gain practice during the tours.
