Cycling tour around the lakes in Tata
This easily surmountable cycling tour is recommended for everyone. Get to know the history of human evolution still being researched today, the ever-bustling life of the avifauna on and around the nearby fish farms, and the extraordinary world of the natural treasures sustained by the water of the newly refilling Fényes source group of Tata.
Route:
Tata – Öreg-tó (Old Lake) – Derítő-tó – Vértesszőlős (prehistoric settlement) – Baromállás-dűlő – Fellner Jakab lookout – Réti halastavak (fish ponds) – Fényes Nature Trail (20 km)
Által-ér (Által Brook) Valley cycle track (section between Tatabánya – Vértesszőlős – Tata)
The track was built with the cooperation of the three settlements concerned (Tatabánya, Vértesszőlős and Tata). Its length is 6.8 km. When the two-lane route was being designed, a daily traffic of approximately 2,200 people was estimated between the settlements. However, as of today, the daily traffic already exceeds this number considerably. Lately Oroszlány, Szomód and Dunaalmás have also joined the successful development, as a result of which the destination of the bike route starting from Oroszlány and running by Tatabánya, Vértesszőlős, Tata and Szomód is at Dunaalmás.
