What is Natura 2000?
The Natura 2000 network is a connected system of the most valuable natural areas in the member states of the European Union. Natura 2000 is an ecological network unique in the world, with uniform regulations, whose purpose is to contribute to the long-term survival of Europe's wild animal and plant species and natural habitats, and to the preservation of the natural environment vital to humans.
